CARSCANNER is an independent new-car discovery, comparison and purchase-support platform focused on Portugal.

Unless expressly stated in writing, CARSCANNER is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or acting on behalf of any vehicle manufacturer, importer, distributor, dealer, dealership group, insurer, bank, credit intermediary or public authority.

All vehicle brands, model names, trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners. Any reference to a brand or model is made only to identify the relevant vehicle.

2. What CARSCANNER does

CARSCANNER may provide:

• vehicle catalogue pages;
• brand and model search;
• vehicle filters;
• vehicle detail pages;
• vehicle comparison tools;
• dealer or offer comparison sections;
• indicative price information;
• ISV-aware or tax-aware price breakdowns;
• vehicle availability indicators;
• ownership cost estimates;
• fuel-type comparisons;
• AI-assisted best-car search;
• purchase enquiry forms;
• test-drive request forms;
• links to manufacturers, dealers and other third parties.

CARSCANNER is intended to help users discover, compare and understand vehicle options. It is not a substitute for official manufacturer information, dealer confirmation, professional advice, contract review, test drives, inspections, financing review or insurance advice.

3. No sale by CARSCANNER

CARSCANNER does not sell vehicles to users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, CARSCANNER:

• is not the seller of any vehicle;
• is not a dealer;
• is not an authorised dealership;
• is not a manufacturer or importer;
• is not a financial adviser;
• is not an insurance intermediary;
• is not a tax adviser;
• is not a vehicle inspector;
• does not issue binding vehicle offers;
• does not guarantee vehicle availability;
• does not guarantee prices, discounts, campaigns, delivery times, specifications or financing terms;
• does not become a party to any purchase, financing, insurance, reservation, test-drive or after-sales contract between you and a third party.

Any vehicle purchase, reservation, test drive, financing, insurance or related transaction is between you and the relevant dealer, manufacturer, financing provider, insurer or other third party.

4. Vehicle information is indicative

Vehicle information on CARSCANNER may include brand, model, version, body type, engine, power, gearbox, fuel type, battery, range, WLTP data, fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, warranty, colour, equipment, price, tax estimates, availability, images and dealer or offer information.

This information is provided for general comparison and decision-support purposes only.

Although CARSCANNER aims to keep information useful and reasonably accurate, vehicle data may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, estimated, based on assumptions or subject to change without notice.

Before relying on any vehicle information, you must verify the relevant details with the official manufacturer, importer, dealer or other authoritative source.

5. Prices, fees and availability

Any price, "from" price, estimated price, campaign price, dealer price, turnkey price, monthly estimate, saving indicator, tax breakdown, ISV estimate, IUC estimate, ownership cost estimate or availability indicator shown on CARSCANNER is for informational purposes only unless expressly confirmed in writing by the relevant dealer or official seller.

Prices and availability may change at any time.

Displayed prices may depend on factors outside CARSCANNER's control, including:

• trim;
• engine;
• gearbox;
• colour;
• optional equipment;
• campaign conditions;
• financing conditions;
• trade-in conditions;
• stock status;
• delivery costs;
• registration costs;
• taxes and legal changes;
• dealer fees;
• regional availability;
• manufacturer price updates;
• typographical or data-entry errors.

Where CARSCANNER shows a price breakdown or ownership estimate, it is based on available data and assumptions. It is not a final quote, invoice, legally binding offer or guarantee of the amount payable.

The official price, availability, configuration, contractual terms and delivery conditions must always be confirmed directly with the relevant dealer, manufacturer or seller before any decision or payment.

6. Ownership cost calculator

The ownership cost calculator is provided for general informational purposes.

It may estimate or compare costs such as IUC, IPO, insurance, maintenance, fuel, electricity, cumulative ownership cost or fuel-type differences.

Calculator outputs are based on assumptions, user inputs and available data. They may not reflect your actual costs.

Actual costs may vary due to:

7. AI-assisted search and recommendations

CARSCANNER may provide AI-assisted search, shortlist or concierge-style responses to help users compare vehicle options.

AI-assisted outputs are informational and may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unsuitable for your circumstances.

AI-assisted outputs are not:

• professional advice;
• official recommendations;
• suitability assessments;
• binding offers;
• financial advice;
• insurance advice;
• tax advice;
• legal advice;
• safety advice;
• guarantees of availability, price, quality or fit.

You are responsible for reviewing the results, checking official sources and making your own decision.

Do not enter sensitive personal data into AI-assisted search fields.

8. Lead forms, purchase enquiries and test-drive requests

When you submit a purchase enquiry, contact request, availability request or test-drive request, you authorise CARSCANNER to process your request and, where relevant, forward your information to a dealer, partner or business contact who may respond to you.

Submitting a form does not:

• create a purchase contract;
• reserve a vehicle;
• guarantee a test drive;
• guarantee vehicle availability;
• guarantee a price;
• guarantee dealer response time;
• guarantee financing, discount or delivery terms;
• require CARSCANNER to find or secure a vehicle for you.

Dealers and partners are responsible for their own responses, offers, availability, pricing, contractual terms, test-drive arrangements, follow-up communications and compliance with applicable law.

CARSCANNER may reject, ignore or delete submissions that appear false, abusive, spam-like, incomplete, unlawful or unrelated to the service.

9. Dealer and third-party offers

CARSCANNER may display information received from dealers, partners, manufacturers, public sources or other third parties.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CARSCANNER does not independently verify every detail of third-party offers in real time.

Dealers and other third parties are responsible for the accuracy, legality and availability of their offers, prices, images, descriptions, campaigns and communications.

Any dispute regarding a third-party offer, vehicle, contract, payment, warranty, delivery, return, complaint, financing, insurance or after-sales service must be handled with the relevant third party.

10. No official affiliation

CARSCANNER is independent. References to vehicle brands, models, manufacturers, importers, dealers or official sources are made for identification, comparison and informational purposes only.

Nothing on CARSCANNER should be understood as implying that CARSCANNER is:

• an official brand website;
• an authorised dealer;
• an official catalogue;
• an official configurator;
• an official representative;
• endorsed by any manufacturer or dealer;
• authorised to make statements on behalf of any manufacturer or dealer.

Where a relationship, partnership or dealer arrangement exists, CARSCANNER may identify it clearly.

11. Images, logos and third-party content

Images, logos, brand assets, model names, trademarks and third-party materials may belong to their respective owners.

CARSCANNER may use:

• its own materials;
• partner-provided materials;
• licensed materials;
• materials provided with permission;
• public factual information;
• nominative brand and model references;
• placeholders or illustrative images.

• the materials do not infringe third-party rights;
• the information does not mislead consumers;
• prices, availability, promotions and conditions are clear and lawful;
• you will notify CARSCANNER promptly if information changes.

You grant CARSCANNER a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, adapt, format, translate and publish the submitted materials for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving CARSCANNER.

You are responsible for claims arising from materials or information you provide, including claims related to intellectual property, misleading advertising, inaccurate prices, unavailable vehicles or unlawful promotions.

14. Intellectual property of CARSCANNER

The CARSCANNER website, layout, interface, original text, database structure, software, design, branding, logos, icons, selection, arrangement and compilation of materials are owned by or licensed to CARSCANNER, except for third-party materials.

You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, scrape, mirror, frame, modify, reverse engineer, create derivative databases from or commercially exploit CARSCANNER without written permission.

CARSCANNER is not responsible for third-party websites, content, privacy policies, terms, prices, availability, offers, errors, omissions, security or communications.

16. Availability and changes to the service

CARSCANNER may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website or service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure or always available access. We may update, remove, correct or restructure vehicle data, pages, filters, calculations, AI outputs, features or forms without notice.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CARSCANNER is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

CARSCANNER makes no warranty that:

• vehicle data is always accurate, complete or current;
• prices are final or available;
• vehicles are in stock;
• dealers will respond;
• test drives will be available;
• calculations will match actual costs;
• AI-assisted outputs will be correct or suitable;
• images match exact configurations;
• third-party offers are accurate;
• the website will be uninterrupted or error-free;
• the website will meet your expectations.

You are responsible for independently verifying all relevant information before making any decision, payment, reservation, test-drive request or purchase.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CARSCANNER is not liable for:

• inaccurate, incomplete or outdated vehicle data;
• changes in prices, taxes, fees, discounts, campaigns or availability;
• third-party offers, conduct, omissions or communications;
• dealer delays or failure to respond;
• failed test-drive arrangements;

• reliance on AI-assisted outputs;
• indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages;
• loss of profit, opportunity, savings, data, goodwill or business;

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CARSCANNER's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the website or services is limited to the greater of 100 EUR. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory of the claim, including contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise, to the extent permitted by law.

19. Indemnity

If you use CARSCANNER on behalf of a business, dealership, partner or other legal entity, you agree to indemnify and hold CARSCANNER harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from:

We may investigate and, where appropriate, correct, update, restrict or remove content. CARSCANNER's decision to correct, update or remove content does not constitute an admission of liability.
